Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh) | May 14, 2025:
The sacred city of Ayodhya is preparing for another grand spiritual celebration, as 14 temples within the Ram Mandir complex are set to be consecrated on June 5, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Ganga Dussehra. The event is being organized by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust and will be part of a three-day festival spanning June 3 to June 5.
Rituals, however, will begin earlier on May 30, with the installation of a Shiva Lingam in the Shiv Temple located inside the complex. The ceremonies will be performed by a distinguished group of 101 Vedic scholars from Kashi and Ayodhya, and will include the worship of the Yagyashala, chanting of mantras, recitation of the Valmiki Ramayana, and readings from all four Vedas, ensuring that the consecration adheres to the highest traditions of Sanatan Dharma.
🛕 Temples to Be Consecrated
Among the 14 temples:
- Six are located within the main complex, dedicated to:
- Lord Shiva
- Sun God (Surya Dev)
- Lord Ganapati
- Lord Hanuman
- Goddess Bhagwati
- Goddess Annapurna
- Seven are part of the Sapt Mandapam area, enshrining revered figures such as:
- Sage Vashistha
- Sage Valmiki
- Sage Agastya
- Sage Vishwamitra
- Ahalya
- Shabari
- Nishadraj
Additionally, a special idol of Lakshman in his divine form as Sheshavatar will be consecrated in the Sheshavatar Temple, adding to the devotional richness of the complex.
🪔 Ritual Details and Installations
Each temple will house idols of deities installed on specially crafted two-foot-high marble thrones, symbolizing divine majesty and eternal sanctity. The three-day spiritual festivities are expected to draw thousands of devotees from across the country and beyond, further establishing the Ram Mandir as a global center of Hindu faith and culture.
This consecration event follows the historic Pran Pratishtha (consecration) of the Ram Lalla idol held on January 22, 2024, in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, marking the formal spiritual inauguration of the Ram Mandir.
The upcoming June event continues the unfolding of a monumental religious and cultural renaissance at the Ram Janmabhoomi, signifying the revival and reaffirmation of India’s ancient spiritual traditions.
